I spotted the cars above directly after pulling off the road to get a closer look at this DeTomaso Pantera I saw parked at the local auto shop.
These are spots from the past couple months:

To hell with 911s, I should have bought a Pantera when they were cheap years ago. I worked at the local water district in college during the summer and the fleet mechanic had a red one just like that. I should have found one!! My dream would be a Motul livery GT5 clone.

That Subaru reminds me...
Meepster would look pretty sweet with a set of Sparco Terras:

EarthRoamers are built just one exit down on I-25 from where I took that photo. That one had New Mexico plates though!

Th ey’re such visually striking cars. I had only ever seen a couple at a Cars & Coffee event about a year ago. Never seen one just sitting in a parking lot like this one.

They are fairly common in CA, but in the last ten years I suspect the nice ones are now worth more and people don’t drive them as much like so many classics. They have an American V8 so they a re not exotic in terms of maintenance, you could drive one a lot. I’m not sure how many are out there either, they sold far less than say my 240Z but both cars were probably messed with or crashed and there are less now.
